Yamaguchi-san is a serial entrepreneur who has developed various businesses over his long career. He has focused on international ventures in trade and licencing of technologies. As such, connecting different cultures and business practices, the core business philosophy of Turako, is in his DNA. His current interests include special metals for medical applications, various Internet of Things (IoT) and technology projects. He combines this with a major interest in agriculture (organic farming in Japan for blue fin tuna and wagyu beef) and emerging ‘Agritech’ opportunities. He is passionate about improving Japan’s connectivity with the rest of the world for niche technology transfer opportunities.
His philanthropic activities include connecting Japanese college students with Africa – he is Chairman of a group called SESCO - and assisting classical musicians from various countries to connect with their Japanese counterparts.
